Eastlake Group was asked to assist Brown Shipley in re-designing their penthouse office in the heart of Edinburgh’s St Andrew’s Square.
From initial concepts to final commissioning, Eastlake Group completed all elements of design, fit out, furniture and installation of this flagship office space.
Redesigned to accommodate modern working practices, the new space is light, open plan and incorporates modern features such as quiet zones, informal meeting spaces, flexible working solutions and all new furniture, finishes and equipment.
Prior to refurbishment, the space had been dominated by floor to ceiling storage systems, which block light, communication and movement throughout the space. Rendered obsolete by electronic document systems, the now empty storage units and outdated finishes were not in keeping with modern working practices.

Accommodating the main working zone, consisting of both fixed and bookable hot desking; open plan kitchen and lounge area; informal meeting spaces; an executive office and an acoustic work pod for one-to- one meetings, quiet working or phonecalls, the new space caters to the more agile modern working practices.
With more executive finishes and cleaner lines than the more informal team spaces, the client areas infer a professionalism and top tier quality which matches Brown Shipley’s level of service.

Clients are greeted by a comfortable waiting area complete with a well stocked library and coffee bar before being taken to one of two client meeting rooms.
